To be honest I didn't expect too much from a $17.95 radio case but took a chance and ordered it because the size was right and it had a full flap. I was shocked too see its better made than the $50 padded MBITR case I had looked at from a different company. I use this case for a Motorola 1550XLS with external Mic and it fits great with the flap down. Its worth double the price for its quality and fit and before writing this I just ordered a second one for a backup radio
