The Ultima is the result of his extensive effort, and the biggest leap forward came in the unique design of the grip. Injection molded from Zytel, the grip features more than 70 triangular grip segments separated by grooves that are designed to channel away water, mud, and oil while horizontal grooves under the fingertips provide an optimum feel. As a result, this knife feels great in your hand and is less likely to slip out under adverse conditions.

The full tang blade is made from 1.4116 stainless steel with a light bead blast finish and a black titanium nitride coating. The business end is 4.95 inches long. The top half of the blade is razor sharp while the lower portion features the unique VEFF serrations developed by Oregon knife marker Tom Veff. These serrations have a 60-degree angle, giving them added bite and improved cutting on rope, nylon webbing, leather and other materials.
